What is llms.txt and do I really need it?
llms.txt is a plain text file at the root of your website that gives AI assistants a clean summary of who you are, what you offer, and which pages matter. It is a young convention, and it is cheap to add: one small file that removes guesswork for any assistant reading your site. Gyms that add it hand the machine exactly the description they want repeated.
My score is low. What should I fix first?
Start with access and structure, because nothing else matters if a crawler is blocked or confused: allow the AI crawlers in robots.txt, then add JSON-LD structured data for your business, hours, and location. FAQ schema and llms.txt come next, since both feed assistants ready-made answers. The smaller tags, meta description, social preview, canonical, and headings, are quick wins you can clear in an afternoon.
